The Dumbfuck of the Year Awards ("DFotY") is an annual contest run by Reds Rhetoric to rate the dumbest people on G+ in the previous year, with the winner earning the title of "The Dumbfuck of the Year". Ten people are nominated by Red (or a panel of people selected by Red), and voting runs for the month of December, with the winners being announced in early January.
Nominees are required to meet four five criteria:
- Have demonstrated stupendous and unwavering idiocy, despite, and in spite of any evidence that would contradict whatever "science" they find indisputably true.
- Are not the (obvious) victim of a mental disorder. (Rob Beasley was excluded from the 2016 contest on these grounds.)
- Have had at least one one-on-one conversation with Red in a live google hangout. (As of 2017, this rule has changed so that, instead of having to talk to Redline, instead, it is only required "that you speak to at least one of the 10 people [on a panel nominated by Red] who will be nominating people for the award...")
- Are not already a recipient of this coveted award. (We can't have G Man winning every year, now can we?)
- Pew must go fuck himself
However, these are only the rules for the nomination for the Duckfuck of the Year Award. In order to actually WIN the award, one is required to meet the following three criteria:
- Be a dumbfuck
- Get nominated
- Get the most votes
- Pew must go fuck himself
However (again), according to G Man, in order to actually actually win the Dumb(blank) of the Year Award, one is required to meet the following three criteria:
- Have correct opinions
- Beat Red, Steve McRae, or some random person in a debate
- Get the most votes
- Pew must go fuck himself
Also, it should be noted that Red is not above bribing people to break his own rules that he created. Notably, in the 2018 race, Red said that, if people would donate enough money for him to go to NYC so he could get denied booty-pics by his girlfriend Hana Zubby, instigated by his bitch Pew Review, and tormented by his arch-nemesis G Man (or that's what G Man thinks, at any rate), then Red would allow TrueTalkTV (TrueEmpiricism) to be nominated for 2018 DFotY, despite this contradicting the fourth DFotY rule, claiming that TrueTalkTV and TrueEmpiricism are different channels, and therefore should still be eligible for the award.
Clearly, Red's #AtheistMorality is showing it's true colours.
(In other news, holy shit that's a long-ass run-on sentence. Fucking hell, what I am doing with my life that I have nothing better to do then write a sentence so long it would make Ronnie jealous.)

Special note: As of Jun 24th, 2017 rumor has it that the leading contenders for the 2018 are: C Brown, Antonio Fletcher, and Betty Van Velsen... but there is plenty of time for someone else to take the lead! Keep fighting for it guys/ girls/ others/ neither/ some combination/ none of the above!
DFotY scoreboard
During the 2017 contest, GDC member Kevin Buchik got fed up with having to go to 10 different videos and do addition to figure out what the current standings were, so he wrote a scoreboard page in PHP so no one had to deal with that bullshit anymore.

The scoreboard contains archival data for all previous contests, and goes into a "live" mode during the month of December when a DFoTY contest is active.
